Footprints holds the value of empowering individuals with hope and optimism through a person centred and recovery based approach. The Recovery and Wellness Program (RWP) is a psychosocial support program that provides psychoeducation and practical interventions to support individuals who reside in boarding houses, supported accommodations, hostels and crisis accommodations. The program offers recovery based support that will increase an individual’s capacity for self-management of lifestyle, and to support individuals in developing their own skills and resources to strengthen their community connections and increase positive relationships. The RWP works in partnership with the Metro North and Metro South Hospital and Health Services. All program participants are referred by clinicians through Queensland Health’s Mental Health Services.

Peer Based Group Support (PBGS) provides therapeutic support through psychosocial and psychoeducational groups facilitated by skilled Lived Experience workers.

PBGS offers a range of groups which explore all parts of wellness and skill-building.

PBGS offers groups for individuals at any stage of their recovery from Chill, Chat & Create where participants have the chance to get to know each other and let their creative side wild to Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, which is a structured program that includes elements of Cognitive Behavioural, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness.

All of our groups are trauma informed, strength based, and client centred. We focus on meeting the client where they are at and walking alongside them providing hope, empathy and encouragement.

Footprints Community (Footprints) invites members of the Redlands Community and members of the Logan Community to participate in consultation and co-design workshops for the design and establishment of the Head to Health Clinics in 2024 in Redlands and Logan.

The Footprints Redlands and Logan Clinics, part of the national Head to Health initiative, wants to be a genuine safe space for people to visit –for those people who may be experiencing mental health distress, want to improve their mental health wellbeing or seeking information, support, connection to the broader community. Further information about the Head to Health initiative can be found on the Head to Health website.

We are seeking Expressions of Interest from community members in these areas, particularly those who have a lived / living experience of mental health including carers / friends / families of those individuals living with mental health conditions (specifics outlined below) and those that are interested in creating a safe space for the people who will use it.

We encourage members of the Redlands Community who are interested to complete the Expression of Interest here.

We encourage members of the Logan Community who are interested to complete the Expression of Interest here.

Dependent on the amount of EOI’s received, a selection process will occur to ensure a fair representation of people within these communities.

Completing the expression of interest does not guarantee participation in the co-design process.

The co-design is open to (ages 18+):
√ People with a lived/ living experience of mental health and/or emotional distress
√ Carers for someone with a lived/ living experience of mental health and/or emotional distress
√ Family/kin to someone with a lived/ living experience of mental health and/or emotional distress
√ Community elders/ leaders
√ Concerned/ interested members of the community

The co-design workshops are planned for late-April to early May, consisting of:
1. An online co-design orientation in late-April
2. Two hybrid co-design workshops in early May
3. Review of co-design outputs and draft service design document in mid-late-May
